We Durbanites are so fortunate to live in a city where the marine life is so copious and our beaches so serene. Our night life is also something to definitely rave about. From upmarket club scenes to restaurants that acquire amazing auras.
An Above Water Adventure:
UShaka Marine World is definitely the place to start of your day, especially now that summer is coming in. This amazing tourist attraction is a great way to kill time. UShaka’s broad target market is aimed not only at the younger generation, but at adults as well. What a wonderful way to bring out the child in you. From swimming with the dolphins and sharks (yes, sharks), to shopping in the curio stores and magnificent boutiques. Not forgetting the wonderful food venues such as Ocean Basket, Chip n Dip and Spur, to name a few.
Casino!:
After a long day in the sun, you could visit the great Suncoast and Entertainment world. Suncoast not only has one of the best and biggest casinos in Durban, but also has on offer fantastic 5 star restaurants such as Circus Circus, Centre Court, Cape Town Fish Market, John Dory’s and many more. And for that quick take out, the food court is the perfect place to be!
The After Dark Experience:
Durban also has fantastic clubs that will keep you dancing all night. Clubs such as Panama Room, Vacca Matta, Clapham Grand and many more.

The Gateway shopping mall is situated in Umhlanga, Durban. It is the biggest shopping mall within the Southern Hemisphere of the world. The Gateway Theatre of Shopping offers so much more than your average mall, for instance, you can shop 'til you drop at their exciting range of exclusive stores, then catch a movie at the IMAX, or watch a live show at The Barnyard Theatre, or if you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a few laps around their exciting go-karting track. With a vast array of activities to indulge in, Gateway is definitely one site not to be missed.
Go Wild!:
South Africa is home to the Big Five. (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo) We are proud to host these animals as we hold them close to our Zulu heritage and culture. Tala’s Game Reserve in Durban offers you the chance to see the Big Five and view wildlife like you’ve never seen it before.

View Durban in a 1:24 scale at Mini Town. A walk around Mini Town will give you a view a perfect view of Durban’s unique structure and buildings. Mini Town is located on Snell Parade and is close to the Beach Front, this is an attraction which is fun for the entire family.

Wilsons Warf situated on Durban’s Harbour, boasts as a high tourist attraction, it’s the perfect rest stop while you are on your bus tours in and around Durban. Here you can do shopping, dine out, see a live band/show at the Catalina Theatre or just look out onto the harbour. It offers a serene atmosphere which allows you to take on the sights and sounds of Durban.
